We began building our bridges today and some of us found it more difficult than we thought it would be.  We have had to come up with some good problem-solving skills.

Creating Strong Joints

 It is very important that any joints made are strong and will nor come undone.  Today we investigated different ways to join two straws using the following materials - pipe cleaners, sellotape, glue, cardboard triangles and more.

Investigating Structures & Joints

  In order to make a strong bridge we must ensure that the structure is strong and that any joints are as strong as possible therefore we investigated joining straws as part of our technology unit 'Bridging the Gap'.
