Panto Pandemonium School Is Messed Up!

Panto-Land's in danger from the evil witch, who has stolen the magic from three magic objects. It was mainly seen by parents and children of the school. It took place in the Wanaka Primary School hall. Louis Darby was Grotty, Grayson Bailey was Martin, and  Cooper Mills was John.  The stage arrived just in time, any later and they'd be doing it on the floor! Room 20's flag dance was GREAT!  It made cracking noises all over hall. John, the boy who doesn't believe in fairy-tales was played by Cooper Mills and he really stood out and projected his voice.  This panto was made for fun and laughter all the way through.

Panto land is muddled up because the witch has taken control.  The witch has taken the magic from the three fairy tale objects, but the question is can the four children find the objects and make it right before the witch does ?  Without the fairy's magic, its up to the children, to find the objects.  The children split up into two different stories,  Jack in the Beanstalk and the Cinderella story.  John and Martin landed in the jack and the beanstalk.  Sara and Allison landed in the Cinderella story.  The four children sung beautifully.  The panto was performed in the Wanaka Primary School hall.  Eve Bretherton  was the wicked witch and you could tell who she was because she sung like a witch and acted like one.  The panto was done by the amazing director Wendy Bamford.  The panto was done in front of family, friends and part of the school. The good fairy's makeup shone in the light the whole time. Room 16's dance, 'Kung Fu Fighting was good and strong, plus it made the audience laugh. The audience was surprised at the end because at the start there was lots of evil and at the end it was all happy.

Panto Land is in Extreme Danger

Can the four children Alison, Sara, Martin and John help the good fairies and find the three fairy tale objects and return the magic? Six weeks of work, with help from Annie McCambridge and  the director Wendy Bamford was needed to produce the show. Parents came to watch their children perform on stage. The evil witch had stolen the magic and the four children were going to save the day.

All the classes preformed outstanding dances. Room 14 did the shuffle and Room 16 did a dance to 'Kung Fu Fighting'.

The make-up was fantastic. The witch's make-up was awesome. It  made her really look like a witch. The ugly step sisters make-up really made them look ugly.

Kerry Guise provided the music and sound effects. Leon Bowie did the back ground pictures for all the scenes.

The best thing about the show was when the director Wendy was speaking to Moo and Tail even though she did not have a part.

What could next years panto be? Well just wait and see!

Trouble in Panto Land!

Panto Land is in danger, the witch has taken over and the good fairies have lost their magic.  Four students from Wanaka Primary School are going to something about it!

But when are the good fairies going to get their magic back?  People will just have to find out.

Six week is a lot of practice and with the help director Wendy Bamford the show was ready on time. Grandparents made up a big part of the audience.

The children were acting as Martin, John, Sarah, and Alison for the four students and had to get magical objects -  a lamp from Aladdin who was trapped in a cave, a glass slipper from Cinderella, and a golden egg from Jack and the Bean Stalk.

The fairies make-up was outstanding and shone in the light.

The ballet dance was nice until 'Everyday I'm Shuffling' came on.

Pantoland Pandemonium at Wanaka Primary School

Something is seriously wrong in Pantoland. Can four children save the day by finding three magic objects, return them to the Good Fairies? Or will they let the bad guys rule the land?  Will Jack live without his beanstalk, Cinderella to a life of drudgery and Aladdin be imprisoned in a cave?

This pantomine was designed to make people laugh and enjoy watching people perform and do what they love. This pantomine  was performed at Wanaka Primary School on the 12th and  13th of November. 

Eve Bretherton, as the witch was amazing because of her facial expression, her costume and make up. The best part was her evil cackling laugh.

The make-up was outstanding. The good fairies had beautiful sparkles that shone bright under the light. The witch's make-up really kept her in character.

The Director Wendy Bamford was outstanding in her role. Even though she didn't have  a part on stage, when she got asked a question, she had a scared, frightened or sorry voice that got her in role as a director.

Room 14's dance was mind tricking. They went from ballet and then to the song 'Every Day I'm Shuffling' and people thought it was very funny and unexpected.

This was an all round family performance. If you get a chance, go and see it!

Kelly's Review of our Recent Panto

Panto Land's in Chaos!  

Panto land's in a mess and Wanaka Primary School are going to sort it out. The great directorship from Wendy Branford brought this production to life. The production was held in the Wanaka Primary School Hall. The witch (proudly presented by Eve Bretheton) has stolen the magic from three fairytale objects. Parents and students were eager to take their seats.

Each class performed an awesome dance room 14's shuffling stood out well in the light.  Their clothes really made them look like disco dancers.

Claire Haskins did the make-up and it looked outstanding. It really kept the witch in character and the good fairies jewels caught the light throughout their time on stage.

Without the costumes this panto would of been terrible. The children looked awesome.

This panto was a great family show and maybe you'll get a chance to see it!!
